ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation, dated 1/4

06.09.2022 and to give necessary police protection for the life and liberty. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that it is a business rivalry between this petitioner and one Ponraj, who belongs to the same area. The petitioner is running a TASMAC shop and originally the petitioner and above said Ponraj, jointly started the business and thereafter, there is difference of opinion between them. Over which allegations and counter allegations have been made. Due to which, two cases in Crime Nos. 271 and 272 of 2022 have been registered against each other. Against this petitioner final report has been filed before the concerned Court. 3.Since there is a counter complaint and the complaint has been made only due to business rivalry, police protection cannot be granted to the petitioner.

However, representation given by the petitioner is still pending. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 06.09.2022 by summoning the Ponraj. During the course of enquiry, if the respondent police found any life threat to the petitioner at the hands of Ponraj, the respondent shall decide the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders.

within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
