ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to allow the petitioner to continue the internship program and complete Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Course in the respondent college.

2. According to the petitioner, she had joined the respondent college in the academic year 2011-2012 and she had passed all the theory examinations without arrears. Thereafter, she has to complete her internship program for a period of 3 months from July 2014 to December 2014. However, the petitioner got married on 13.09.2014 and hence, she could not pursue her internship program in the said college. Thereafter, the respondent college did not permit her to complete the internship program. Hence, the present writ petition.

On instructions, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent college to pursue her internship program in the respondent college and they are ready to permit the student to complete her internship program in the said college.

In view of the above said facts, the petitioner can approach the respondent college and the respondent college is directed to permit the petitioner to join internship program and complete the said course. In case, if the petitioner successfully completes the internship program, the respondent college is directed to return the mark statements and the concerned certificates.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
