ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 120(B), 406, 420 of IPC r/w Section 1/3

5 of Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (Financial Establishment) Act, 1997, in Crime No.5 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the accused started a jewelry shop in the name and style of 'Arusha Jewelry Shop at Virudhunagar and received deposits from the general public including the defacto complainant and thereafter, failed to return it after maturity. Hence, the complaint.

3.Heard. Perused the materials available on record including the First Information Report.

4.Considering the facts that there are 1123 victims and the petitioner is being implicated by the co-accused and the investigation is in a very nascent stage, this is not a fit case for enlarging the petitioner on anticipatory bail. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. sd/- 22/08/2024 / TRUE COPY / /09/2024 Sub-Assistant Registrar ( C.S.
