O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.423 of 2020 on the file of the first Respondent police.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners submits that the dispute between the parties is settled in Lok Adalat and as per the settlement arrived at in the Lok Adalat, the defacto complainant was paid a sum of Rs.10 lakhs. The learned Counsel appearing for the second Respondent also concedes the same.

3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioners seeks to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.423 of 2020 on the file of the first Respondent police on the ground after registration of the First Information Report, Petitioners herein, who are arrayed as accused and the De-facto Complainant had arrived at a compromise. A Joint Compromise Memo is also filed along with this Petition. 4.By way of reply, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that he has no objection to quash the First Information Report by recording compromise.

5.In the light of the Joint Compromise Memo, this Petition is allowed and the proceedings in First Information Report in Crime No. 423 of 2020 on the file of the first Respondent police is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo shall form part of this order. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
