O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Tutor-cum-Warden in Government College Girls Hostel, (BC-II) Thanjavur, seeking a Mandamus as against the respondents to extend her services from 01.08.2024 till the end of the academic year 2024-2025.
2. The petitioner has attained superannuation on 31.07.2024. Before she had attained superannuation, the third respondent herein who is the appointing authority, had recommended for extension of her services through his proceedings dated 21.06.2024 to the second respondent herein. However, since no orders have been passed by the second respondent before her superannuation, the services have not been extended. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the 2/5
learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the fact that the second respondent had received the proposal in the month of June 2024, this Court is inclined to direct the second respondent to consider the proposal forwarded by the third respondent on 21.06.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
