ORDER

The petitioner, apprehending danger from the fourth respondent, has filed this application seeking police protection. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the fourth respondent having suspicion on the character of his wife and on the impression that the petitioner is having an illegal intimacy with the fourth respondent's wife, has already assaulted the petitioner and also set fire to his sawmill. Therefore, the petitioner apprehending threat from the fourth respondent seeks police protection.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the fourth respondent under an impression that his wife is having illegal intimacy with the petitioner, has quarrelled with his wife and therefore, the wife of the fourth respondent left the matrimonial house. In view of this incident, the petitioner has filed this petition apprehending danger from the fourth respondent. He further submits that the petitioner's saw mill was damaged by some unknown person. The respondent police has registered a separate case for the damage caused to the petitioner's saw mill in Crime No. 299 of 2025 and they are conducting investigation. The 2/4

apprehension of the petitioner is unwarranted. 5.This Court considered the rival submissions made on either side and perused the materials available in the records. 6.It is very difficult for the respondent police to provide police protection for each and every household. In the event, if any occurrences are taken place, it is always open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint for the same. The respondent police shall conduct the investigation in Crime No.299 of 2025 in a proper manner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
