This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to defer the claim of respondent Nos.5 and 6 for crop insurance for the ensuing year in respect of the agricultural lands as found in the Patta Nos.8618, 158, 1324, 651, 165, 1089, 8994 and 8549 situated in Keelakavanur Village, Rathapuli Group, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, based on the representations made by the petitioner on 06.10.2021 and 01.11.2021.

2. The Writ Petition was filed based on the fact that the name of the petitioner was not included in the joint patta and that an appeal was 2/4

pending before the second respondent in this regard and in the meantime, the first respondent must defer the claim of respondent Nos.5 and 6 for crop insurance with respect to the subject properties.

3. It was brought to the notice of this Court that the appeal filed by the petitioner before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, came to be rejected through proceedings dated 26.11.2021. The relevant proceedings were also placed before this Court. In view of the same, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted by this Court and accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. It will be left open to the fifth and sixth respondents to make their claim for the crop insurance and the same shall be entertained.
