ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of directing the respondents to permit the Petitioner to cut the Karuvelam tree by issuing a cutting order within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3.A perual of the affidavit in the Writ Petition shows that the subject matter auction was conducted on 2.2.2017 and as successful bidder, he has also deposited a sum of Rs.20,000/-. After 1 1⁄2 years ie., on 11.7.2018, the Petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents for issuing cutting order of Karuvelam trees. The Petitioner has not produced any material in support of his claim. The Writ Petition was filed in the year 2018 and no interim order has been granted by this Court. The matter has not been processed by the Petitioner for about two years and now seeks for extension of period for cutting of trees. After a lapse of five years, the authorities definitely would have completed the said work or the trees will grow more and the value of the trees would fetch more. 4.In view of the above position, the Petitioner is at liberty to approach the authorities and assess the value of the Karuvelam trees as of now, if not completed the said work already and the Petitioner shall get
the said work of cutting trees participating in the open auction, as that of others.
5.With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
