The present impugned order dated 19.05.2018 is the transfer order, transferring the petitioner from Thennur, Trichy District to Poyyur, Perambalur Electricity Distribution Circle.
2. On the ground that the transfer is punitive in nature, Mr.T.Sakthikumaran, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4, submitted that pending writ petition, the petitioner has again been transferred on 31.10.2020 from the present station to another sub station in Trichy District, on administrative grounds.
3. In view of the subsequent transfer order dated 31.10.2020, earlier order dated 19.05.2018 lapses and as such, no effective orders can be passed therein. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. If at all, the petitioner is aggrieved against the subsequent transfer, it is open to him to work out his remedy in accordance with law. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
