Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order in G.O(D)No.738, dated 12.06.2025 passed by the Respondent No.1 and quash the same as illegal and subsequently direct the Respondent No.1 to release the petitioner's brother namely Sundharavel, S/o.Arjunan (LCP No.8746 & PIC No. 119068) prematurely.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.K. ILANTHIRAIYAN,J.) Though this writ petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the first respondent, dated 12.06.2025, thereby, rejecting the request made by the petitioner seeking premature release of his brother, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricted his prayer that after the order impugned in this writ petition, the petitioner submitted

another representation seeking premature release by citing the subsequent cases that ended in acquittal and the same may be considered by the first respondent.

2. Considering the above submission, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 08.01.2025 and dispose of the same, within a period of 16 (sixteen) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
