PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to settle the amount for the surrendered leave of 135 days surrendered by the petitioner when he was in service with interest at the rate of 6% per annum within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport Corporation seeking a mandamus for the disbursement of surrender leave salary.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he has retired from service on 30.04.2023, and he has made a representation on 08.07.2025, for disbursement of surrender leave salary. However, so far, the same has not yet been released. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to release the eligible surrender leave salary to the writ petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
