Heard Mr.N.Sundareshan for M/s.Sun Associates for the petitioner and Mr.S.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 to 3.

2. This Writ Petition had been filed for Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondent to follow the first respondent seniority proceedings and adapted in the proceedings dated 18.10.2014 while promoting Commercial Inspectors/Line Inspectors to the post of Foreman-Special Grade.

3. The petitioner had submitted a representation on 09.12.2014. However thereafter, the petitioner had retired from service. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner sought liberty to file another Writ Petition in case, the petitioner is affected.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to question the promotion, if so advised. There shall be no order as to costs.
