ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondent police to delete the name of the petitioner from the rowdy list history sheet in H.S.No.99 of 2020 pending on the file of the respondent No.4 police basing on the representation given by the petitioner dated 11.07.2023.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and basing on the confessional statement of the other accused, the petitioner is roped in Crime No.55 of 2016.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that since the petitioner is involved in a murder case, he is being monitored regularly by the police and the police would certainly follow the guidelines issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos.21040 of 2018 and batch dated 03.07.2020 and dispose of the request of the petitioner.

4.In view of the above, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2023 scrupulously by following the directions issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) Nos. 21040 of 2018 and batch dated 03.07.2020.
