PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.16 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.07.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 5(n), 5(1), 6, 11(1), r/w 12 of POCSO Act, 2012 and Section 506(1) of IPC, in Crime No.16 of 2024 on the file of the 1/3
respondent police, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is the step father of the victim girl. He had committed the offence of sexual assault upon the victim girl. Hence, the case.
3.Heard both sides.
4.Considering the nature of allegations against the petitioner that the petitioner being stepfather, periodically abusing the child sexually, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Yet another case, which demonstrates that even homes are not safe for girl children.
5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 6.The Investigating Officer is directed to expedite the investigation and file charge sheet as early as possible.
