ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed, invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking orders to direct the respondents 4 and 6 to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2024 and to give adequate police protection to the temple festival from 23.08.2024 to 31.08.2024 of Shri Periyanayagi Amman and Karuppar temple, situated at Thottamangalam Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1, 3 and 5 and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2, 4 and 6. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2, 4 and 6 would submit that the writ petitioner in his representation dated 12.08.2024 has sought for police protection for the drama to be scheduled during the temple festival.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that they are restricting their prayer for police protection only for the temple festival scheduled from 23.08.2024 to 31.08.2024.
5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2, 4 and 6 would submit that they have no objection for the temple festival.

6. Considering the submissions made on either side, the sixth respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2024 and pass orders today (23.08.2024) itself.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
