PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2014 in the light of the order dated 26.11.2010 in W.P.(MD).No. 9820 of 2009 on the file of this Court and pass appropriate orders and issue patta to the petitioner for the Survey No.584 to an extent of 15 cents, Punjai Thotta Kurichi Village, Karur District. ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2014 and issue patta in favour of the writ petitioner for Survey No.584 for an extent of 15 cents, Punjai Thotta Kurichi Village, Karur District.
2.According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the 15 cents of land in Survey No.584. The fifth respondent has also recommended for grant of patta in favour of the writ petitioner by way of a resolution dated 28.05.2007. Based upon the said resolution, the petitioner has given a 2/5
representation to the second respondent herein on 07.07.2014 seeking patta. The said representation has been forwarded by the second respondent to the fourth respondent. However, so far the fourth respondent has not passed any orders.
3.In view of the above said facts, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the fourth respondent to consider the request of the petitioner for grant of patta in survey No.584 for an extent of 15 cents, after affording due opportunity to the writ petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
