PRAYER: Contempt Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.18365 of 2022, dated 12.08.2022.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order, dated 12.08.2022, made in W.P.(MD) No.18365 of 2022.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions made a submission that the State Level Scrutiny Committee has already undertaken the process of enquiry to be conducted pursuant to the directions issued by this Court. The vigilance report had already been submitted before the State Level Scrutiny Committee, which is to be considered and final order is to be

passed by the State Level Scrutiny Committee. He further submits that in view of the lengthy process, which is to be adopted, there was a delay and the delay was neither willful nor wanton. He further undertakes that final order will be passed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The State Level Scrutiny Committee is expected to comply with the order of this Court, without any further delay.

4. With the above observation, the contempt petition is closed. It is made clear that in the event of not passing final order within the stipulated period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioner is at liberty to restore this contempt petition.
