PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct Respondents 1 to 2 to conduct enquiry and to allow the petitioner and his community peoples on 27.08.2025, 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025 for offering prayers and to participate in all other festival events of the Sri Kaliamman Temple festival situated in Avalsurampatty Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District based on the Petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2025. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 2 to conduct enquiry and to allow the petitioner and his community peoples on 27.08.2025. 28.08.2025 and 29.08.2025 for offering prayers and to participate in all other festival events of the Sri 2/5

Kaliamman Temple festival situated in Avalsurampatty Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District, based on the Petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2025.

2. Considering the facts of the case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after consluting with the 5th respondent. As far as the safety issue is concerned, the officials respondents are directed to consider the same. In case, if any grievance, the officials respondents are at liberty to pass appropriate orders.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
