Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to construct a comprehensive sewage disposal system for disposing the sewage of the Gomathipuram Thendral Nagar, Ward No.30 of Madurai Corporation from the point where the sewage disposal system of Gomathipuram Thendral Nagar Area constructed under "Namakku Name Thittam" ends either by converting the now defunct Field Bothi channel of Public Works Department between Vandiyur Tank and Vaigai river or in any other manner.

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to construct a comprehensive sewage 2/5

disposal system for disposing the sewage of the petitioner's residence viz., Gomathipuram Thendral Nagar, Ward No.30 of Madurai Corporation.

2. On instructions, the learned Counsel appearing for the first respondent herein submits that under the Smart City Scheme, the underground drainage system work has already been initiated in the year 2021 and work is in progress. The first respondent will complete the same within a period of six months and the prayer sought for in the writ petition has already been taken care by the first respondent under the Smart City Scheme.

3. Recording the above said facts, no further adjudication is necessary in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
