O R D E R

The writ petition was filed by one Ganesan claiming to be an office bearer of the Temple. The writ petition was disposed of by me on 25.02.2025 with a direction to the writ petitioner to prefer a revision before the first respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the said order and the revision, if preferred within the said period of three weeks, the first respondent/District Revenue Officer was directed to dispose of the same by conducting an enquiry after hearing the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent and any other interested parties. Subject to the outcome of enquiry proceedings, liberty has been given to the authorities to take over the possession of the subject property.

2. Today, a mention was made by Mr.R.Karunanidhi, learned counsel for the fifth respondent contending that the petitioner has not availed of the liberty granted by this Court and no revision has been preferred by the petitioner.

Mr.R.J.Karthick, learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the petitioner/Ganesan being no longer an office bearer, revision was filed by one Mr.Mariappan and today, infact, the said Mariappan also does not hold any post as an office bearer of the temple. However, the fact remains that representing the temple, a revision has been filed. Since the revision has not been preferred by the writ petitioner, the same was returned and the said revision is being re-presented.

4.In view of the above, the revision petition shall be re-presented within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the said revision shall be treated as proper revision, in pursuance of the order dated 25.02.2025 passed in W.P.(MD) No.11736 of 2018. The first respondent/District Revenue Officer shall proceed to conduct an enquiry and dispose of the revision within a period of four (4) weeks thereafter. 5.It is made clear that if the revision is not re-presented within a period of one week, then the authorities are at liberty to proceed further in accordance with law.
