This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.08.2023 and to provide adequate security protection / Bandobust to the conference of AIADMK at 06.00 P.M to 09.00 P.M. on 20th August, 2023, at the land next to Nagarathinam Angalammal Arts and Science College, Valaiyangulam Village, Thirupparankundram Taluk, Madurai District
2. It is submitted by learned Senior Counsel appearing through video conference that AIADMK proposed to conduct "Golden Jubilee Awakening Conference of Heroic History" on 20th August, 2023, for which, the petitioner has filed an application well in advance for grant of permission and accordingly, the respondent Police have permitted to conduct the said programme by way of an order, dated 31.07.2023. However, the learned Senior Counsel submits that since huge number of persons would participate in the said Conference requested the Police by way of representation dated 03.08.2023 for providing adequate bandobust, protection and other arrangements for safety of the people, who attend the conference. Learned Senior Counsel further 2/4
submitted that yesterday evening, after filing of this writ petition, the petitioner was served with a copy of the proceedings, dated 08.08.2023, issued by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thirumangalam Sub Division, Madurai City, informing the petitioner that sufficient number of Police, traffic Police, Women Police and Law and Order Police will be entrusted with the bandobust and other required duties in order to see that the programme is conducted smoothly and also there shall not be any disturbances to the free flow of the traffic to the general public as well.

Since the respondent Police have come forwarded and issued the proceedings, dated 08.08.2023, informing that they will take all required measures for smooth conducting of the conference, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The respondent Police are directed to provide bandobust and see that there shall not be any untoward incidents happened in the meeting as undertaken in the proceedings dated 08.08.2023.
4. With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
