Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of mandamus by directing the respondents to conduct the written test for the post of Manager (Procurement & Input / Veterinary) intended to be filled up by the 2nd respondent through his Advertisement No.001/2017 dated 07.12.017 as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulation as prescribed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a mandamus directing the Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisherying Department/R1 and the General Manager, Tirunelveli District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd./R2 to conduct a written test for the post of Manager (Procurement & Input/Veterinary) intended to be filled up by the second respondent through advertisement bearing No.001/2017 dated 07.12.2017.

3. Mr. A. K. Manikkam, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for R1 would state that he is not a necessary party. The matter was called on 18.11.2021 and adjourned to today at the instance of R2. Even today, R2 has no instructions to report.

4. Giving that, none of the parties are in a position to assist the court in the disposal of the matter and seeing as it is improbable that a call for applications issued as early as in December, 2017, is still pending, this writ petition is closed, as I am of the view that nothing survives in the matter. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
