O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to permit the petitioner for conducting Kabadi Tournament from 12.08.2023 at about 08.00 a.m., to 14.08.2023 at about 08.00 p.m., at Bootharayanallur Village, Budalur Taluk, Thanjavur District, by setting aside the impugned order passed by the third respondent on 29.07.2023 rejecting the request of the petitioner.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the request of the petitioner was rejected on the ground that he has failed to mention as to how many teams are going to be participated and whether any arrangement in respect of safety and security of the players is made and the place of the tournament etc., 2/5

3. Considering the circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to file a fresh application before the respondents Police by giving all the details required, on which, the respondents Police are directed to consider and dispose of the same as quickly as possible since the tournament is scheduled to be held in this weekend. There shall be no order as to costs.
