The Writ Petition has come to a satisfactory end. The Writ petition has been filed primarily, se0eking permission to conduct Ippasi festival on 16.11.2021 and 17.11.2021 in Arulmighu Marriamman/Kaliamman Thirukovil at Ventrilingapuram Village in Sankarankoil Taluk in Thenkasi District.
2.The Writ Petition went through its own course and during the course of hearing, the Tahsildar of Sankarankoil Taluk was requested to conduct the Ippasi festival. It was also mentioned that due respect should be shown to all the parties who wanted to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD)No.20368 of 2021 participate in the temple festival. Certain conditions were also imposed in the earlier orders. Finally, it has been represented that the festival had been successfully conducted to the satisfaction of the devotees.
3.Thereafter, the only issue remained to be resolved is the handing over of the keys of the temple and I am informed by Mr.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader that the keys have been handed over to the writ petitioner A.Thangadurai, but the keys are now with the custody of Vaithiyalingam. 4.I only hope that no further unrest occurs in the said place of conducting any further festivals or functions with respect to the said temples. No further orders are required. 5.This Writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
