ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2014 for change of electricity service connection (NA 1051) in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property in Survey No.45/1A1, Nilayur 1st Bit, Thirupprankundram Taluk, Madurai District, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that he is residing in the above mentioned address and that he purchased the said property on 09.12.2001 from one Rajangam. According to him, all the revenue records stand in the name of the petitioner for the said property. According to him, in October, 2014, he came to understand that by mistake, the electricity service connection for his property was transferred to one G.Gomathi W/o.K.R.Gangadharan. Therefore, he had given a representation on 09.11.2014 to the second respondent for change of electricity service connection in his name from G.Gomathi. He also sent several reminders thereafter. Last such representation given by the petitioner was on 09.11.2014. According to the petitioner, till date, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents. In such circumstances, this writ petition has been filed.

W.P.(MD)No.21191 of 2014 3.Heard Mr.S.Ramasamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Rajeswari for Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents. 4.The relief sought for in this writ petition is an innocuous relief. The petitioner is seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 09.11.2014 for change of electricity service connection (NA 1051) in his name in respect of his property within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. It is his case that by mistake in the year 2014, the respondents have transferred the electricity service connection standing in his name in favour of G.Gomathi. In such circumstances, he has sought for transfer of electricity service connection back into his name. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if such a representation is considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law after hearing necessary parties including G.Gomathi the person in whose favour presently the electricity service connection (NA 1051) stands.
5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.11.2014 seeking for change of electricity service connection (NA 1051) in his name in respect of property bearing Survey No.45/1A1, Nilayur 1st Bit, Thirupprankundram Taluk, Madurai District and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after hearing all the necessary parties including G.Gomathi within a period of eight weeks from the the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
