ORDER
The petitioner has approached the respondent Bank for an education loan for his son, who got an opportunity to pursue B.E.,(Mechanical Engineering) in an Engineering College at Tirunelveli. The Second respondent by the order impugned in this writ petition has rejected the loan application of the petitioner on 29.08.2013 stating that the petitioner's son has not secured sufficient marks as per their norm. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
2.When the writ petition was taken up for hearing on 02.06.2023 there was no representation for the petitioner. Therefore, the case was directed to be listed under the caption for dismissal. Accordingly this writ petition is listed under the caption 'for dismissal' today. When the case is taken up for hearing there is no representation for the petitioner, despite the case is listed under the caption for dismissal.

3.This Court on the earlier occasion directed the respondent Bank to file a report regarding the norms which has been prescribed for grant of educational loan. 4.The learned Counsel for respondents has produced the circular issued by the General Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Central Office, Chennai and the relevant portion reads as follows:
"We invite reference to our earlier circulars No.ADV/105/2011-2012 dated 12.12.2011 and ADV/250/2012-2013, dated 09.10.2012 advising the details of the Vidya Jyothi Educational Loan Scheme and the subsequent amendments covering admissions under Management quota also under both VJEL scheme and IOB Scholar scheme, the minimum cut-off marks have been reduced from the present level of 65% to 60% for students under general category and 55% for students belonging to SC/ST categories."
5.In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous is also dismissed.
