ORDER
This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to permit the petitioner to conduct the cultural programme on 15.08.2023 from 07.30 pm., to 12.00 am., by setting aside the order passed by the respondent No.2 police vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.25/B3.Ka.Ni/2023 dated 24.07.2023. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that every year, the petitioner has been conducting the cultural event on the eve of Independence Day. This year also, the petitioner proposed to conduct this eve, but the police have declined the permission. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that because of the Independence Day, the police are busy in pandopast duty to various institutions and thereby it is difficult to provide protection, if the programme is conducted till 12.00 am., 2/4
4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to grant the permission to the petitioner to conduct the programme on 15.08.2023 from 07.00 pm., to 10.00 pm., only subject to the guidelines issued vide proceedings in Rc. 007301/Genl.I(1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019.
