ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to install CCTV cameras and provide police protection in the election premises for the upcoming election for the post of Chairman in Palayamkottai Panchayat Union, Tirunelveli District, scheduled on 25.07.2025 in terms of Circular issued by the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission in Na.Ka.No. 291/2025/OoThe2 dated 15.07.2025.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the considering the petitioner's request, the respondents have already issued a communication dated 21.07.2025, directing the concerned police officials to install CCTV cameras in the election premises.

3. Since the respondents have taken steps to install CCTV Cameras, the relief sought for by the petitioner has already been granted. Therefore, no further adjudication is necessary. However, this Court is directing the respondents to conduct the election with adequate police security. 2/4

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
