ORDER

The petitioner, working as a Driver and Mechanic in the Fire and Rescue Department, Pattukottai, was issued with a charge memo dated 27.06.2023. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. In view of the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Union of India vs. Kunishetty Satyanarayana [(2006) SCC 28], this Court can interfere only if the same charge memo is issued without any authority or with mala fide. The petitioner has not made out any such case in this writ petition.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed with a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings as expeditiously as possible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
