O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed praying for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to permit the petitioner and his members to conduct the temple festival in the Sri Senbaga Vinayagar Temple, Sri Durgai Amman Temple, Sri Karuppasamy Temple and Sri Mariyamman Temple at M.Kumarasakknapuram Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District from 10.09.2024 to 19.09.2024.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner herein had submitted a representation dated 31.07.2024 before the first respondent seeking permission to conduct the temple festival in the above said temples from 10.09.2024 to 19.09.2024. Since the representation of the petitioner was not considered, the present petition is filed.

3. It is submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and orders would be passed thereon in accordance with law. 2/5

In view of the same and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.07.2024, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of personal hearing to both the parties and also interested persons, if any, within a week from today. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law.
