The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner in Na.Ka.No. 11/COLR/8138/2023.
2.Mr. A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the second respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that he submitted an application before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sankarankoil, seeking rectification of the revenue records pertain to property situate in S.No. 1119/5 in Naranapuram Part 1 Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District. The said application was rejected by the Revenue Divisional Officer on 15.11.2022. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a revision before the first respondent on 14.12.2022. Though the first respondent initiated enquiry by fixing the date of hearing as 05.10.2023, till date, the revision 2/5
has not been disposed of. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the first respondent would submit that the revision filed by the petitioner will be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.In the view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the revision filed by the petitioner in Na.Ka.No.11/COLR/8138/2023 pending on his file and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the second respondent. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
