ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus been instituted to direct the respondents to remove the Juliflora Trees (Karuvelam) spread across the Kaanor Tank and restore the Tank in the interest of farmers and the public. 2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and the 2/5

learned counsel appearing on behalf of the fourth respondent would submit that the auction process had been completed.

3.In view of the above said submissions, the cause no longer exists. However, it is made clear that the successful bidder has to remove the Karuvelam trees as expeditiously as possible and the authorities are bound to monitor the same.
