Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner is an agriculturist. He is enjoying free electricity service connection. By the impugned communication, the petitioner has been informed that his connection will be cut off within 24 hours.

3. It is true that the authorities appear to have informed the petitioner earlier and that the petitioner did not respond. However, taking note of the special facts and circumstances obtaining in this case, I am of the view that the petitioner deserves to be given one more opportunity.

4. In this view of the matter, the impugned order is set aside. Liberty is given to the respondent to proceed afresh on merits and in accordance with law. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
