This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Accident Relief Fund by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 24.09.2021.
2. The petitioner lost her husband in an accident. Based on the complaint, the third respondent also registered an F.I.R. in Crime No. 239 of 2021 and it is brought to the notice of this Court that the investigation was completed and final report has already been laid before the concerned Court. The petitioner is claiming for compensation under the specific scheme in G.O.(Ms).No.141, dated 24.02.2021. 2/4

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first and second respondents submitted that the request made by the petitioner is under consideration and that the amount is being disbursed year-wise / serial-wise. Based on the written instructions received from the Revenue Divisional Officer, Usilampatti, it is seen that the claim made by the petitioner has been taken on file in Serial No.70 and till now, the claims of the year 2020 upto Serial No.205 has been cleared.
4. In view of the above, the compensation shall be paid to the petitioner as and when the same becomes due and payable as per the serial number for the year 2021.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
