O R D E R

The recruitment notification dated 17.05.2013, issued by the respondent, is sought to be quashed in the present writ petition.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner mainly contended that the recruitment process has been restricted and the respondent is appointing persons only by inviting list of candidates from the Employment Exchange depriving the interest of all other candidates, who all are waiting for employment.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent / TANGEDO brought to the notice of this Court that the system of inviting list of candidates from the Employment Exchange had already been dispensed with and now, all the selections and appointments are made through open competitive process by issuing notifications and publishing the same widely in newspapers.

4. In view of the changes effected in the process of recruitment by the respondent / TANGEDCO, this Court is of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

W.P.(MD) No.2811 of 2014 opinion that the apprehension of the writ petitioner, at this point of time, has become unnecessary and it is made clear that all future recruitments are to be made transparently and publishing the notifications widely in all newspapers enabling all the eligible candidates to participate in the selection process and thereby, to adhere to the equality clause enunciated in the Constitution of India.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
