ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused No.1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 498(A), 406 and 506(i) IPC, in Crime No.16 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that there was matrimonial dispute between the petitioner and the defacto complainant, due to which, the petitioner and the other accused abused the defacto complainant in filthy language. Hence, the complaint. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the report of the Social Welfare Officer would reveal that the petitioner is living with the second accused and the second accused gave the name of the petitioner as her husband, while she was admitted in the Government Hospital. 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged and also the fact that the investigation is pending as stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
