O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to forbear the third respondent from appointing any person to the post of Village Assistant at Chidambarapuram Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District and consequently to direct the second respondent to sponsor fresh list of candidates to the third respondent to fill up the post of Village Assistant at Chidambarapuram Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District by including the name of the writ petitioner.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the official respondents states that one Karuppuswamy was selected as Village Assistant at Chidambarapuram Village, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District, during the relevant point of time in the year 2014 and he is working for the past 5 years. 3.Thus, the relief as such sought for to forbear the third respondent cannot be granted at this length of time. This apart, the writ petitioner had not participated in the process of selection. Therefore, no further adjudication is required. 4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
