PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to cancel the impugned legal heir certificate bearing No.TN-72018411688 of Kamalam issued by the 4th respondent and consequently direct the 4th respondent to issue the legal heir certificate of Kamalam, after proper enquiry. 1/4

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to cancel the legal heirship certificate issued by the fourth respondent and to direct the fourth respondent to issue a fresh legal heirship certificate by showing the names of all the legal heirs of the deceased Kamalam.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the Village Administrative Officer, Thiruppuvanam Taluk has already conducted an enquiry and it was ascertained that there are totally eight persons, who were the legal heirs of one Veeranan and one of the legal representative was the petitioner. This report is said to be placed before the third respondent.

3. In view of the above development, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to pass final orders on the representation made by the petitioner on 11.12.2020 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt 2/4

of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with a copy of this order.
