Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on the proceedings initiated by the first respondent under Na.Ka.A3/2823/2018, dated 19.04.2018, relating to rectify the Patta No.1112 for Survey Nos.185/1A and 185/1B at Kannankudi Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District. ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction against the second respondent to rectify Patta No.1112 with respect to Survey Nos.185/1A and 185/1B at Kannankudi Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.A representation has been given by the petitioner herein claiming that with respect to Patta No.1112, Kannankudi Village, Devakottai Taluk, in S.Nos.185/1A and 185/1B, the name of the father of the petitioner, C.Rengaiah Udaiyar should have been actually given. But, however in the chitta for the aforesaid land, the name of the petitioner's father, C.Rengaiah Udaiyar and another unknown person's name Chinnakutty Udaiyar had been given. 3.By way of this particular Writ Petition, it is claimed that the name of Chinnakutty Udaiyar should be removed and the name of the father of the petitioner C.

Rengaiah Udaiyar should be recognized. This can be done only on proper enquiry conducted by the second respondent/Tahsildar and therefore, a direction is given to the second respondent to examine the representation given by the petitioner, call the petitioner for an enquiry, thereafter, examine the document produced by the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
