PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant to the Impugned Order passed by the 1st respondent in Memo.No.034393/G.53/G. 532/2024, dated 19.08.2024 and quash the same so far as the petitioner is concerned and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to permit the petitioner to work as Administrative Officer in the Kanyakumari Electricity Distribution Circle, Kanyakumari.

ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by an Administrative Officer of the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited, challenging the order of his transfer from Kanyakumari District to Tuticorin District. 2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his wife is taking treatment for cancer at Sree Chitra Tirunal Hospital, Trivandrum and therefore, any transfer order from Kanyakumari District would affect the medical care of his wife. However, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent corporation pointed out that the petitioner has completed three years of service at Kanyakumari District and no other vacancy is available in the southern district except Thoothukudi.

3.Considering the above said facts, it is clear that the petitioner has been transferred from Kanyakumari District after completing three of service and he has been posted to another nearby district namely Tuticorin to enable him to take care of his wife. In such circumstances, this Court does not find any reason to interfere with the order of transfer. However, it is for the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities seeking transfer to any another nearby place and the same may be considered on merits and in accordance with law. 4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands closed.
