O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide permission and police protection to the petitioner for conducting festival for Sri Sudalaimadan Temple, Tharagankadu, Kurugapuram, Tisaiyanvilai Taluk and Tirunelveli District on 06.09.2024 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 24.07.2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2024, has already been forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer for necessary action. He would further submit that the representation of the respondents 3 and 4 were also forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer for necessary action. 2/5
3. Heard learned the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State and the learned counsel appearing for the private respondents and also perused the records.
4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer, is directed to conduct peace committee meeting by calling all the groups involved and take a decision in accordance with law within three days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs. 29.08.2024 NCC : Yes/ No Index :Yes/No Internet : Yes/ No das Note : Issue order copy on 02.09.2024.
