ORDER

The petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to take necessary action for deleting the Patta entry made by the fifth respondent in Survey No.207/6 of Punjai land, measuring an extent of about 2 Acre and 24 Cents, located at Ilanthaikulam, Kamuthakudi, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering his representation, dated 13.07.2022.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the property in question originally belonged to the petitioner's father and the fifth respondent with an intention to encroach the petitioner's land, has illegally changed the Patta in respect of the said property in his name. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 13.07.2022, to the second respondent. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the enquiry would be conducted and appropriate orders would be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 13.07.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to conduct an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 13.07.2022, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to all the necessary parties concerned, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
