ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed seeking orders to punish the contemnor/respondent for his willful and deliberate disobedience of the order of this Court passed in Crl.O.P(MD)No.18032 of 2024, dated 21.10.2024. 1/4

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not participated in the enquiry. He would further submit that the petitioner has already filed a civil suit and the same is pending.

3. But the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that summons were issued for enquiry on 05.08.2025 and 09.08.2025. The rival party attended the enquiry on 05.08.2025 and undertook not to disturb the petitioner or her belongings. On 09.08.2025, the petitioner appeared before the Police, was informed of the rival party's statement and the complaint was subsequently closed. The closure report was sent to the petitioner through registered post.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would further submit that in the closure report explicitly states that any further disturbance will lead to action against the respondents 3 and 4 in the criminal original petition, rendering police protection for the petitioner unwarranted at this point of time. He has also produced the copy of the closure report.

5.Recording the same, this Contempt Petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to take appropriate proceedings, in the manner known to law. 18.09.2025 NCC :Yes/No Index :Yes/No Internet : Yes/ No das To 1.The Inspector of Police, Musiri Police Station, Musiri, Trichy District.
