COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed for a direction to the respondents to consider and fix the monthly salary of the petitioners as per 7th pay commission, based on the petitioners' representation dated 05.08.2019.
2.Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, these Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3.According to the petitioners, they were appointed as Sweeper and Office Assistant in UT/RMSA Model School and Government Model School respectively, on daily wage basis in the year 2005. Pursuant to the notification issued in G.O.Ms.No.321, dated 22.12.2010, the petitioners were appointed as Sweeper and Office Assistant in the month of December 2011 on consolidated pay of Rs.4500/- per month. Subsequently, the said consolidated pay was increased to Rs.7800/- per month. While so, the petitioners were paid only Rs.4500/- from the month of May 2019 onwards. When the petitioners enquired the same, the Head Master of the School has not given any proper explanation. Hence, the petitioners have come out with the present writ petitions.
4.Considering the nature of relief sought for in the Writ Petitions, without deciding the issue on merits, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners, dated 05.08.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
