O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to grant permission and protection for conducting music festival along with music competition at Thoomakundu, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, on 12.08.2023 to 13.08.2023, basing on the representations given by the petitioner on 10.07.2023 and 25.07.2023.

2. It is submitted by the petitioner that every year, the petitioner has been conducting music festival and this year also, they have decided to conduct the festival, for which, request has been made to the respondents Police by way of the representations dated 10.07.2023 and 25.07.2023. However, there is no response.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the representations of the petitioner have been received by the respondents Police and the enquiry is being done. It is submitted that the respondents Police have no objection for granting permission by imposing the required conditions. 2/4

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents Police to provide protection as required by the petitioner basing on the representations dated 10.07.2023 and 25.07.2023 by imposing the conditions as per the directions issued in the Circular by the Deputy General of Police. There shall be no order as to costs. 10.08.2023 NCC :
