Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent herein to withdraw the case in Crime No.423 of 2020 on the file of the 3rd respondent and entrust the investigation to the 4th respondent / the Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Tirunelveli District or some other Investigation Agencies for further investigation within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent herein to withdraw the case in Crime No.423 of 2020 on the file of the 3rd respondent and entrust the investigation to the 4th respondent / the Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBCID, Tirunelveli District or some other Investigation Agencies for further investigation within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court directs respondents Police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.423 of 2020 on the file of the third respondent within a time that may be fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that the investigation in Crime No.423 of 2020 is almost completed and the third respondent Police is going to file a Charge Sheet before the concerned trial Court.

Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the third respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.423 of 2020 and file the Charge Sheet before the concerned trial Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
