This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent 1/3

herein to transfer the investigation in Crime No.700 of 2021 on the file of 2nd respondent to any other investigating agency for free and fair trial. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the first accused, who is the Special Sub Inspector of Police, took cars for rent from the defacto complainant for the purpose of distribution of marriage invitation of the family of the Deputy Superintendent of Police and thereafter, he did not return back the same to the defacto complainant. Thereby, the defacto complainant made a complaint against the accused persons before the respondent Police and the same was registered in Crime No.700 of 2021 against the accused persons. Since the respondent Police has not taken any action, the defacto complainant has filed the present petition seeking transfer of investigation.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation in Crime No.700 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent Police will be completed by the Investigation Officer within a period of twelve weeks and the same will be monitored by the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, investigation in Crime No.700 of 2021 shall be completed by the Investigation Officer within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police is directed to monitor the said investigation.
