PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated settlement of petitioner's husband late. Rajendran retirement benefits namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity, and Leave Salary for the period from 27.05.2023 to 14.03.2025 within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of the deceased employee seeking payment of interest for the belated disbursement of the retirement benefits.

2.The petitioner has retired from service on 27.05.2023, and his terminal benefits have been released only on 14.03.2025. The petitioner has sent a representation on 09.06.2025, seeking payment of interest. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to pay 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
