ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner company to enable its employees, staff, officers and other managerial personnel, apprentices, contractors, Government Officials, Auditors, Customers, Suppliers etc., to enter and exit the factory premises including ingress and egress of men and materials, vehicles and finished products and ensure that the respondents 4 to 19 and their associates are 500 meters away from the petitioner factory premises situated in Mondipatti, K.Periapatti North, Chettichathiram Villages, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District.

The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondents 4 to 19 and their associates are continuously Indulging in agitation from 29-6-2026 in front of the factory gate of the petitioner company from 05.30 a.m., causing great hindrance to the normal functioning of the factory and sought the indulgence of this Code.

The learned Government Advocate Mr.C.Susi Kumar on instructions submitted that the protest is commenced on 29-6-2026, from which date, round the clock, at least four police officers of the cadre of Inspector of Police and 60 police personnel are deployed day and night for maintaining harmony, law and order in the location where the ongoing protest is still continuing. As on date, no report of any untoward incident is made and the police is maintaining law and order in the proper manner.

4. In view of the submissions made by either sides, this Court is of the considered view that there can not be any impediment for the company's normal functioning. However, considering the submission 4/6

made by the learned Senior Counsel that the ongoing protest is organised just in front of the gate of the company, this Court hereby direct the protesters to assemble beyond a distance of 100 metres from the gate of the petitioner company and the police is ensured that the protest continues beyond 100 metres distance from the front gate of the petitioner company.
