ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus to forbear the respondents from erecting any electric pole and drawing 72 feet high tension electric line through the property of the petitioner which is situated in Survey No.13/6B, Shanmugasundarapuram Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District without the consent of the petitioner.

2. Mrs.M.Rajeswari, learned Standing Counsel, appears on behalf of the respondents.

3. A statement had been made across the bar that the petitioner had granted consent, that the tower had been put up and the petitioner had also been paid compensation. The petitioner had also given a letter that he would withdraw the Writ Petition. The petitioner however appears to have kept the Writ Petition still pending for the past seven (7) years.

4. As no further orders are required, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
